Working in the Earth Smart Store, we have come to realize that 80% of what we do is educate people on the products and technologies used to produced the products in the store. What makes the products green and different from other products? Why should they purchase green products over others etc.
In the course of one of my frequent tours around the store I explained to an older woman that EcNow Tech will compost 25 tons of waste this year which would have ended up in the landfill. She walked over to me and gave me a huge hug and said, “Thank you for everything you do!”. We have a constant flow of people coming through the store thanking us for offering the products in the community. We of course are thankful to our customers for giving us the opportunity. When we lock up each night we are also thankful that we’re doing our part to make the world a better place.
